Fantastic horse riding in Victoria. through the Echuca bushland & along the Goulburn & Murray Rivers. A variety of horse trail rides through red gum forests native to Australia are available. A great place to spend a few hours or days.
Billabong Trail Rides was established in 1992 by Richard Acquisto. It operated from Chanter's Lane in East Trentham, riding through the Wombat State Forest.
We moved to Echuca in May 1995, bringing the horses & starting the rides along the Murray River. In May 1998 the business moved onto 230 acres, 12 kms East of Echuca.
This was a dream come true. To own a property that housed all of the horses, with room for growth in all areas. Not to mention, plenty of bush & river trails to ride along.
Accommodation, arenas & lots of activities were built along the way to enhance visitors experiences.
Due to the popularity of weddings on site & the number of religious schools attending camp, a bush chapel was built.
